Born in 1977 in Geneva, Switzerland, Anouk Vogel studied landscape architecture at the Metropolitan University of Manchester. She has been living in Switzerland, the United States, England, Germany, and the Netherlands. After having worked for several landscape architecture offices including West 8, Bureau B+B, and Inside Outside/Petra Blaisse she founded her own practice in Amsterdam in 2007. Teaching and lecturing experiences include TU Delft, Manchester Metropolitan University, Tromsø Architecture Institute, Trondheim Architecture School, EPFL in Lausanne, the Architecture School of Bergen in Norway, and the Amsterdam Academy of Architecture.
